In My Pocket.

Beata Beatrix

--

I want you in my pocket

Where I put things

I would normally forget

Like my keys and some money,

Nothing more,

nothing less.

I want you in my pocket

An impressionable weight

To help me remember

Things like doors and clarity,

Where I come from,

So I can go back.

I want you in my pocket

Where I put things,

I know I need

And also things that

I have little courage

To keep too close to my heart

But I can’t afford

To ever forget.
